| 1946 | The General Commercial School of basel acquires Hofmann as an instructor |
| 1948 | Opening his own studio in basel, Hofmann begins to work on his stuff there |
| 1956 | Yale University gets a professor named Armin Hofmann (ahhhh!) |
| 1965 | Armin Hofmann writes the "Graphic Design Manual." It will be a part of graphic design curriculum for many years to come. |
